As absurb as this seems (as it is absurd), I'm actually up for it! I've been returning to an agrarian state myself lately. Man of the jungle and all that. I've given up eating normal food and have resorted to trapping Squirrells for sustenance and using their pelts to cover my private parts.

I've caught three squirrells to date, their pretty tasty and quite meaty, but the little buggers are costing me a fortune in plump them up. Peanuts are expensive these days, especially from my local Asian superette.

Attached, on our picture section, you'll see my new collection of pre-eaten squirrells, I've called them Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - to fuly comemorate them. Little darlings that they were, brrrp.

Now, for power, I started looking in to a generator. I had small ideas first. Was just going to get a 1000w unit. But then I saw an older 10kw unit on CL, pretty old, noisy and runs on Diesel. I like the look of it! So your all welcome over here to the Palace when God declairs wrath on the Pegans :) At least we'll have Tv!

Ok, but I'm going to be living in a tent and farming, so I don't have $200 a month. Can I just camp nearby and crap in the woods? I'll trade pot and tie die shirts to the members of your commune for chickens and milk (no vegetables.. aren't there a lot of hippie vegetarians?). You mention the trappings of rental property so I assume these plots are for tents. Where do you run the sewage to? Or is $400k a month (2000 plots x $200) for one giant port-a-potty?

Sounds like a great idea! Lets do it!

One of the Priestesses in training for United Pagan Temple came to me with an idea I would greatly appreciate some feed back on. Sister Rowyna has recently become involved in Seattle’s “Burning Man Community”. She was also involved in the set up of Synchroni-city of the mid west. These things seem to be commune type events (in the case of Burning Man it is a week long event in August/September). The people involved in these events bond together, working, living and interacting without the modern day trappings of TV, electricity, rental housing etc. Now here is the idea Sister Rowyna presented to me:
Why not get a couple acres of land ( that is 43,560 sq ft per acre) divide one of those acres into 10’x20’ plots for a total of 2000 plots. Use 60 sq ft for our (the Temple’s) main tents/ plot, and use the remains of that acre for a communal hall, restrooms, shower stalls. Have one large dome tent for communal baths. Each plot can be used for family garden, tents, small livestock, etc. You can bring, use and maintain generators to supply power if you wish.
The other acres would house Rabbit hutches, Chicken & Turkey pens, a milk cow (or 2 later). Each plot is rented for $50 a week or $200 a month. This money would cover the water/ sewer costs, property taxes, care and upkeep, with the remainder going into the Temple accounts. We can work out later if people want to house their own cattle, sheep, etc.
Ok, give me feed back on the viability, legalities, and feasibilities. Also if any one knows of a couple acres ( no less than 2) coming up for sale by April in Kitsap county area. Right now we can afford payments of $300 a month guaranteed and that is IF we cannot get a bank loan (which we have not yet checked on) e-mail us @ united_pagan_temple2004@yahoo.com or mail info to PO Box 2603; Bremerton, WA 98310
